Kryeministri Albin Kurti njoftoi sot se kontingjenti i dronëve kamikaz “Skydagger” ka mbërritur në Aeroportin Ndërkombëtar të Prishtinës “Adem Jashari”, dhe se dhjetëra pjesëtarë të Forcës së Sigurisë së Kosovës (FSK) janë tashmë të trajnuar për përdorimin e tyre.
Sipas njoftimit të kryeministrit, kontrata për blerjen e këtyre dronëve u nënshkrua në dhjetor të vitit të kaluar me kompaninë turke Baykar — kompani të cilës i përket edhe prodhuesi i pajisjes Skydagger — dhe shpërndarja u planifikua për janar 2026, por dërgesa është përmbyllur tre muaj më herët.
Kurti thekson se këta dronë kamikaz — të njohur si FPV të tipit RTF (Ready to Fly) — janë të pajisur me mjete shpërthyese dhe synojnë të godasin objektiva lëvizëse dhe statike, duke rritur kështu kapacitetin goditës të forcave të vendit. Sipas tij, bashkë me TB2 Bayraktar dhe fluturaket Puma, ky kontingjent shton fuqinë operacionale dhe teknologjike të FSK-së.
Në postim thuhet gjithashtu se dronët u ngarkuan në kamionët multifunksional Rheinmetall 8×8, të cilët ishin marrë vitin e kaluar — 15 të tillë, nga të cilët 10 të blera dhe 5 si donacion. Kurti nënvizoi qëllimin për ndërtimin e një force të “aftë dhe koherente” përballë zhvillimeve teknologjike dhe taktikat e luftës bashkëkohore.
